An overall weight reduction of 7 lbs. or more (compared, to typical drag race front wheels) allows for quicker acceleration and more efficient redistribution of ballast. An added emphasis on decreased rotational inertia in the rim area allows quicker “spin-up” for a decreased likelihood of front end wash during wheel drop.
